I joined Guardian First National in 1990 as a fulltime Financial Controller. After 3 years I moved to Coopers & Lybrand where I gathered invaluable skills in their Insolvency Division. I returned to Guardian in 1993 and remain in the same role. With 20 years Real Estate accounting experience behind me I have picked up a wealth of industry knowledge.
Real Estate software is specialized and complex. I am proficient in both Realnz and Palace software, along with First Nationals in-house Platform software. With three busy sales offices we cover administration, marketing, listings, contracts, trust accounting, and general accounting. We also have a large rental portfolio which requires daily administration.
Our team of experienced administrators do an excellent job especially with the pressure and deadlines that a real estate office brings.
Many changes have taken place over the years with manual cash books taking a back seat and then disappearing. We pride ourselves here at Guardian on getting it right with continual reviews of practices and procedures to help keep us ahead of the ever changing IT world. We are currently working towards becoming as paperless as is practically possible in an effort to increase efficiency and assist the environment.
The Directors here, Paul Coltart and Terry Gardiner are very passionate and focused and are still running this successful business as they have done for more than 40 years. They are a pleasure to work with and are appreciative of the smooth running of the financial accounting and administrative support.
